I usually order the above from Vitacost but links aren’t working.  I also give him chelated zinc and 500mg vitamin C. I got some probiotics and a multivitamin for teens from thrive market I will send with him although he isn’t crazy about those - I’m open to other multivitamins and probiotics if there’s a brand u want to try.

The pill crusher and filling kit are for his prednisone.  He is currently on 30mg which is 3 pills.  On Friday he starts 20mg -I will send the 7 days of those with him.  You will need to crush and make the capsule for the 10mg…if he has blood in his stool or other symptoms hey may have to go back up to the 30mg for another week.  He gags on the pils and can’t handle the taste so please don’t make him try that again-I found making the capsules is the most effective way to get the medicine in him with the least amount of yucky taste.

Also if he’s going to be sitting at his desk for a while at home he uses this:

Donut pillow

Some food brands that we know are safe for him that are gluten-free dairy free and have no seed oils Include Siete snacks and cookies, sweet Loren’s refrigerated cookie dough, simple mills GF baking mixes, Paleo Valley sauces especially the buffalo sauce, and Kevin sauces with the Thai coconut being his favorite and he’ll tolerate the lemongrass one and the orange chicken one. I’ll include some pictures of some of the drinks and foods that we have found that he likes that are safe for him. Please note that he’s not crazy about the premade bowls in the freezer section that use the Kevin sauces.  We have found that if we grill a bunch of chicken breast to keep on hands that’s best or sometimes we’ll get a rotisserie chicken and use chicken from that and rice with the sauce. Trader Joe’s has a refrigerated ranch dressing that is safe for him too.

The dark chocolate protein bars in the pic I get from Costco and they are a favorite of his.  Really good to have with you if you’re gonna be out for a few hours but they melt so maybe keep a cooler bag w a frozen water bottle in it in the car when u take those.

We do smoothies most mornings with frozen organic bananas (bananas need to be peeled before being frozen) a frozen organic spinach and kale mix, sometimes frozen berries-I omit the greens & berries if he’s in a flare or seems like he might be entering a flare because they can be an irritant to his intestines during a flare.  Organic oatmilk, Orgain protein powder pictured below, peanut butter powder (not pictured but I usually order the Naked peanut powder from Amazon-it’s just peanuts no sugars or sweeteners or anything) Cacao powder (I usually order from Amazon)  and Medjool dates (I get the pitted ones from Costco).

Sweet Loren’s is a brand in the refrigerated section of Wegmans and some other grocery stores and they have break and bake cookies,  pastry, and pizza crust that are safe.

He loves spaghetti (actually he prefers Angel hair, but I haven’t found a good gluten-free Angel hair that he likes) and I’m trying to use a lower acid tomato sauce like Rao.  Barilla has gluten-free spaghetti that he does well with

Also, while I avoid dairy for him in most things, sometimes we do use grass fed butter. But mostly for cooking I use olive oil oil, avocado oil or coconut oil. I have not found a totally safe ranch dressing, but I suppose one could be made from scratch. He has used the one from Trader Joe’s, but that does have some undesirable ingredients and he doesn’t use it regularly. If you need to use mayonnaise and anything chosen food mayonnaise is safe and I’ve included a picture.

If you find any other items that we aren’t currently using that are free of gluten, dairy and seed oils that he likes please let me know.  If anyone has any questions-please reach out!
